Recognition of employment as healthcare professional abroad

Pursuant to law no. 735 of July 10, 1960, Italian citizens can request the recognition in Italy of healthcare service provided abroad for the purpose of participating in public competitions and as an evaluation credential. Recognition is granted through a decree issued by the Ministry of Health or the Regions. You can verify the competent authority for your specific case on the Ministry of Health’s website.

For those who have worked within the British healthcare system in the jurisdiction of the Consulate in Manchester , you can request our offices the endorsing (which consists of a “visto per conferma,” NOT recognition) of the relevant documentation.
