{"id":852,"date":"2023-07-31T10:08:50","date_gmt":"2023-07-31T09:08:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/consmanchester.esteri.it\/?page_id=852"},"modified":"2025-09-18T09:55:59","modified_gmt":"2025-09-18T08:55:59","slug":"proof-of-life-certificate","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/consmanchester.esteri.it\/en\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/proof-of-life-certificate\/","title":{"rendered":"Proof of life certificate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"\" data-start=\"37\" data-end=\"227\">To continue receiving their pension regularly, <strong>INPS pensioners residing in the United Kingdom must provide proof of life. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The verification campaign conducted by INPS will begin on 17 September 2025 and end by 15 January 2026.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"229\" data-end=\"385\">The proof of life verification is carried out by <strong>Citibank<\/strong>, who will handle the dispatch of the certification forms and the relevant explanatory letter, to which the pensioner must provide evidence of being alive through one of the following methods:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"775\"><strong>Returning the form received from Citibank <\/strong>to: PO Box 4873, Worthing BN99 3BG, United Kingdom, <strong>within the deadline indicated in the explanatory letter<\/strong>. <strong>The form must be countersigned by an &#8220;acceptable witness&#8221;<\/strong> (e.g. general practicioners, notaries, solicitors, <a href=\"https:\/\/consmanchester.esteri.it\/en\/chi-siamo\/gli-uffici\/the-offices-and-the-consular-network\/\">honorary consuls<\/a>&#8230;\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.citibank.com\/tts\/sa\/inps\/acceptable_witness.html\">click here for a full list<\/a>);<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"775\">Through a\u00a0<em><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/consmanchester.esteri.it\/it\/servizi-consolari-e-visti\/servizi-per-il-cittadino-italiano\/albo-consolare\/patronati\/\">Patronato<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>that is enabled to certificate the life status on Citibank\u2019s secure portal;<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"696\" data-end=\"775\">By personally collecting the pension payment\u00a0from a <strong data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1460\">Western Union<\/strong> branch.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1542\" data-end=\"1913\"><strong>Pensioners residing within <a href=\"https:\/\/consmanchester.esteri.it\/en\/chi-siamo\/\">our consular district<\/a> may also request the Consulate to validate their proof of life form.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1542\" data-end=\"1913\">To do so,\u00a0the pensioner must <strong>appear <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">in person<\/span><\/strong> at the Consulate (58 Spring Gardens \u2013 Manchester M2 1EW) between 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., Monday to Friday. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">No appointment is required<\/span>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"476\">The pensioner is required to submit the <strong>form<\/strong> received from Citibank (already completed and signed) along with a <strong>photocopy of a valid identity document<\/strong>. After the necessary checks, the form will be validated and returned immediately.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"231\" data-end=\"476\">In the case of pensioners who are ill, hospitalised, suffering from debilitating conditions or in prison, please contact <a href=\"mailto:manchester.anagrafe@esteri.it\">manchester.anagrafe@esteri.it<\/a>, indicating your condition and providing adequate evidence to support your request.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"To continue receiving their pension regularly, INPS pensioners residing in the United Kingdom must provide proof of life.
